About the Author Cari Rincker is the principal at Rincker Law, PLLC, a national general practice law firm based in New York concentrating in 'Food, Farm & Family' law. Cari grew up on a Simmental farm in Shelbyville, Illinois showing cattle through 4-H and FFA and is still involved in her family?s beef cattle operation. Cari is currently the Chair of the American Bar Association (?ABA?) General Practice, Solo & Small Firm Division?s Agriculture Law Committee and was elected as the ?Best Agriculture Lawyer? in the 2011, 2012 and 2013 Best of Barns Competition. Pat Dillon is an Iowa farmer, who happens also to be an Iowa lawyer, frequently known to admit that he ?became a lawyer to support his farming habit.? Together with his brothers and his father, Pat operates a farm in northeast Iowa with operations that include corn and soybean production, beef cattle, and timber management. All protests aside, Pat Dillon also loves the law, and he takes genuine pleasure in catching problems early and in finding solutions to the legal issues, large and small, faced by his clients.
