Book Description

Review ''As I began to teach my own children Latin, I was filled with a determination to learn it on my own, having ''survived'' my own non-Latin public school indoctrination. Studying this language has been such a HUGE eye-opener for me as well as my children. Mental development, language, grammar, understanding and loving words and the word, providing connections between subjects that were unknown before, et cetera! But sometimes an anecdote is the best way to convey what happens when one studies Latin. Things like the following happen almost daily when your children study this wonderful language: My youngest (9yo) was reading his Science lesson, in which he's studying birds. The lesson described the birds flying in an undulating pattern. ''Hey!'' He exclaimed. ''Like unda!'' He knew exactly what that meant.'' ----Leah, Facebook Fan Read more
